I have been an ace certified
personal trainer for the past 8 years. Having a degree in
Psychology, I call myself an Exercise Therapist. Allowing
ourselves to self-indulge in personal time for health and
fitness is one lesson I want to teach my clients. My personal
experience in fitness began in college when I was on the water-ski
team and got involved in strength training to improve my skiing.
I also began running which helped me focus on my studies.
By this time,fitness had become part of my life. I ran in
the 2000 Honolulu Marathon, which led to my training people
to run in 5k's, 1/2 marathons, and full marathons. I also
have had the privilidge of training actress Rita Wilson in
Santa Monica, CA. While working at Malibu fitness, I became
certified in PNF stretching. I have also taught outdoor boot-camp
classes, circuit training and pool fitness.
The most rewarding part of my job is seeing the improved mental
and physical improvements each person has made through making
exercise part of their lives. Varying the routines and forms
of exercise is a key in keeping fitness fun. Everyone deserves
to have fun!!
